How challenging is it to commit to 6 weeks of a dog training class? Hard right?! We, at Canine Fine Dog Training, know how you feel. This is why we reinstituted our flexible dog training Open Enrollment classes for Obedience (family pet manners). If you are in Agility, classes 102 through Agility Beyond, these have been run by open enrollment all along.
What is Open Enrollment? If you have not heard this term before you may have heard ‘levels classes’ or ‘drop-in’ as a similar concept. From the consumer side (the dog and handler team) it means you can enroll in any time slot of class offered during the week that you and your dog are eligible to attend. You can attend the highest level of class or drop back to a lower level at any time. The choice is yours.
Why this works? You can set your own schedule. You progress at your own pace. At the first class of each level you attend, we provide you with the progression goals to meet. Once you and your dog have achieved them, you move on. No more waiting for a full 6-week class to finish to advance. Coaching this way we have found teams are more likely to stick with training and advancing because they are in the driver’s seat!
Open Enrollment classes are purchased by the “pack” either 4 (expire in 2 months) or 8 (expire in 3 months). All Open enrollment classes mix and match, Obedience to Agility or Circuit Pup (and any more as we modify so always keep an eye out on the schedule for additions!)
